     James Arbuthnott was born illegitimately on 3 June 1845.¹ He was the son of Hon. David Arbuthnott.¹ He was baptised on 5 April 1848.¹
     He graduated from Madras University, Madras, India^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was the headmaster before 1900 at Chiteldroog and Hassan School, Mysore, India.¹

     Mary Barnes was born in 1889.² She was the daughter of Sir Hugh Shakespear Barnes and Winifred Strachey.^1,2 She married St. John Hutchinson.¹ She died in 1977.²
     Her married name became Hutchinson.¹

     Sir Hugh Shakespear Barnes married Winifred Strachey, daughter of Sir John Strachey and Katherine Jane Batten, on 12 June 1883.² He died on 15 February 1940.²
     He was with the Bengal Civil Service.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)¹

     Joanna Ross is the daughter of William de Ross, 5th Earl of Ross and Mary Macdonald.² She married Alexander Fraser, 1st of Philorth, son of William Fraser and Margaret Moray, in 1375.¹
     From 1375, her married name became Fraser.¹

     Augustus Hills Cobbold was born in 1854 at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Constance Eden, daughter of Reverend Arthur Eden and Alice Julia Whitney, on 30 April 1878.¹ He married, secondly, Ellen Stanley Townsend, daughter of Joseph Phipps Townsend and Penelope Woollam, in 1892 at Kensington, London, England.¹ He died in 1931.¹
     He was a stock and share broker.¹

     John Ross was the son of Aodh de Ross, 4th Earl of Ross and Matilda Bruce.² He died on 27 May 1364, without issue.¹

     Hon. Fiona Mair Sutherland was born on 11 December 1966.¹ She is the daughter of Stewart Ross Sutherland, Baron Sutherland of Houndwood and Dr. Sheena Robertson.¹

     Henry Arbuthnott was born illegitimately on 30 August 1846.¹ He was the son of Hon. David Arbuthnott.¹ He was baptised on 5 May 1848.¹ He married Florence Elvina Ray, daughter of William Ray and Charlotte Fitzgerald, on 3 May 1872 at Baptist Church, New Town, Madras, India.¹ He died on 10 September 1913 at age 67 at Nagpur, India.¹
     He was assistant enginer and supervisor of the Public Works Department.¹

     Hon. Nicholas St. John Hutchinson was born in 1946.¹ He is the son of Jeremy Nicholas Hutchinson, Baron Hutchinson of Lullington and Edith Margaret Emily Ashcroft.¹
