     Rt. Hon. Russell Rea was born on 11 December 1846.1 He was the son of Daniel Key Rea and Elizabeth Russell.2 He married Jane Philip Mactaggart, daughter of Peter Laurie Mactaggart, in 1872.1 He died on 5 February 1916 at age 69.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was founder and senior partner, R and J H Rea, shipowners and merchants.1 He lived at Tanhurst, Dorking, Surrey, England.1
