     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the The Loyal Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹

     William Thomas Foster was baptised on 29 May 1838 at Lostwithiel, Cornwall, England.¹ He was the son of Richard Foster and Caroline Robins.¹ He married Gwenellen Bonnor-Maurice, daughter of Robert Maurice Bonnor-Maurice and Judith Cripps, in 1861 at Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire, Wales.¹ He died on 31 August 1912 at age 74.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Dragoon Guards.¹

     Sarah Heyman is the daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Douglas Gordon Heyman.² She married Peter Gerard Riviere, son of Lt.-Col. Eugene Gonzague Riviere and Ellinor Eileen Raeburn, on 26 May 1962.¹
