Sir John Piers, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Henry Piers, 3rd Bt. and Jane Pigott.2 He married Cornelia Gertrude Pigott, daughter of Southwell Pigott, on 17 May 1739.1 He died on 14 February 1746/47.1
He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Piers, of Tristernagh Abbey, co. Westmeath [E., 1660/1] on 14 March 1733/34.1 They also had other issue.1

Lt.-Col. Lewis Ironside Wood was baptised on 8 December 1866.1 He was the son of John Richard Wood and Frances Isabella Woodhouse.1 He died on 16 May 1915 at age 48 at Flanders, Belgium, killed in action.2
