     Florence Violet Erskine Cole was born in 1893.¹ She was the daughter of Major Seymour Hamilton Maule Cole and Lillian May Sullivan.² She married, firstly, Colonel John Alexander Barclay Penn Bowen, son of Edward Bowen and Gulielma Maria P. Gaskell, in 1911.¹ She and Colonel John Alexander Barclay Penn Bowen were divorced in 1924.¹ She married, secondly, Major Henry William Fitzroy Clive in 1925.¹ She married, thirdly, Frederick James St. John Croley in 1933.¹ She and Frederick James St. John Croley were divorced in 1944.¹ She died on 26 February 1967.¹
     From 1911, her married name became Bowen. From 1925, her married name became Clive. From 1933, her married name became Croley.¹ In 1948 her name was legally changed to Clive.¹

     Colonel John Alexander Barclay Penn Bowen was born in 1883 at Kirkley, Suffolk, England^G.² He was the son of Edward Bowen and Gulielma Maria P.      He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹

     John Ivor Erskine Penn Bowen was born in 1916.¹ He was the son of Colonel John Alexander Barclay Penn Bowen and Florence Violet Erskine Cole.² He married Kate Molly Faith Mildmay, daughter of Captain Bernard Arthur Mildmay, on 7 May 1939.¹ He died in 1967.¹

     Captain Bernard Arthur Mildmay gained the rank of Captain in the Indian Army.¹

     Kate Molly Faith Mildmay was the daughter of Captain Bernard Arthur Mildmay.² She married John Ivor Erskine Penn Bowen, son of Colonel John Alexander Barclay Penn Bowen and Florence Violet Erskine Cole, on 7 May 1939.¹ She died in 1990.¹
     From 7 May 1939, her married name became Bowen.

     Hugh Erskine Bowen was born on 8 June 1945.¹ He is the son of John Ivor Erskine Penn Bowen and Kate Molly Faith Mildmay.² He married, firstly, Marion May Wells in 1963.¹ He and Marion May Wells were divorced in 1983.¹ He married, secondly, Bernadette Evelyn Grace Carlsson in 1989.¹
