Brig.-Gen. Sir Frederick Charlton Meyrick, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 July 1862.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Charlton Meyrick, 1st Bt. and Mary Rhoda Hill.2 He married Mary Emma Baker-Cresswell, daughter of Major Oswin Cumming Baker-Cresswell and Emma Sophia Georgiana Denman, on 16 October 1897.2 He died on 23 February 1932 at age 69.2
He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was Commandant of the 5th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 15th Hussars.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, where he was mentioned in despatches and he was wounded.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1900.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Pembrokeshire.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the South Wales Mounted Brigade.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Meyrick, of Bush, co. Pembroke [U.K., 1880] on 30 July 1921.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Pembrokeshire.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Pembrokeshire in 1926.2

Violet Meyrick was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Sir Frederick Charlton Meyrick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Emma Baker-Cresswell.2 She married William Brereton Couchman Lewis, 3rd Baron Merthyr, son of Herbert Clark Lewis, 2nd Baron Merthyr and Elizabeth Anna Couchman, on 10 November 1932.1 She died on 2 February 2003.1
