Sir William McLintock, 1st Bt. was born on 26 September 1873.1 He was the son of Thomson McLintock.2 He married Margaret Lyons, daughter of Henry Lyons, on 17 April 1901.1 He died on 8 May 1947 at age 73.1
He was senior partner of Thomson McLintock Company, chartered accountants.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1922.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1922.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1929.1 He was member of the Board of the Referees of Industrial Arbitration Court, Developement (Public Utility) Advisory Committee, Finance Risks Committee, Royal Commission on Income Tax, Committee of National Debt and Taxation, Economic Advisory Council.3 He was created 1st Baronet McLintock, of Sanquhar, co.
