Admiral Sir John Thomas Duckworth, 1st Bt. was born on 9 February 1748 at Leatherhead, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Reverend Henry Duckworth.3 He married, firstly, Anne Wallis, daughter of John Wallis, in 1776.2 He married, secondly, Susannah Catherine Buller, daughter of Rt. Rev. William Buller and Anne Thomas, on 14 May 1808.3 He died on 31 August 1817 at age 69 at Admiralty House, Plymouth, Devon, England.2
He gained the rank of Admiral of the White.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)3 He was created 1st Baronet Duckworth, of Topsham, co. Devon [U.K.] on 2 November 1813.3

Sir William Johnston of Caskieben, 7th Bt. was born on 3 August 1760.2 He was the son of Sir William Johnston of Caskieben, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Cleland.3 He married, firstly, Maria Bacon, daughter of John Bacon, on 24 February 1783.2 He married, secondly, Maria Bacon, daughter of John Bacon, in December 1802.2 He died on 13 January 1844 at age 83 at The Hague, The Netherlands.2
He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Johnston, of Caskieben [N.S., 1626] on 19 March 1794.2 He fought against the French on the Malabar coast India.2 In 1798 he raised a regiment of fencible infantry ‘The Prince of Wales's Own' (disbanded 1802.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Windsor between 1801 and 1802.2 He was insolvent and lived in the grounds of Holyrood Abbey.2 He lived at Hilton, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1
