     Captain James Creagh Richard Scott married Mary Fergusson, daughter of George Hermand Fergusson and Jane Gilmour, on 19 December 1878.¹
     He lived at Crevagh, County Clare, Ireland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Marines Light Infantry.¹

     Lt.-Col. James Alexander Duncan Fergusson was born on 30 July 1812.¹ He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.² He married Margaret Hope, daughter of James Hope, on 15 November 1844.¹ He died on 8 November 1864 at age 52.¹
     He fought in the Punjab Campaign in 1848.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 6th Bengal Light Cavalry.¹

     James Hope was born on 7 September 1769 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² He was the son of John Hope and Juliana Stevenson.³ He was also reported to have been born on 17 September 1769.³ He married Jane Walker, daughter of James Walker, on 15 July 1805 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^3,2 He died on 14 November 1842 at age 73.³
     He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)¹

     Margaret Hope was the daughter of James Hope.² She married Lt.-Col. James Alexander Duncan Fergusson, son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 15 November 1844.¹ She died on 9 December 1896.¹
     From 15 November 1844, her married name became Fergusson.

     Alice Jane Fergusson was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Alexander Duncan Fergusson and Margaret Hope.² She married Maj.-Gen. Andrew Smythe Montagu Browne on 29 August 1872.¹ She died on 30 November 1928.¹
     From 29 August 1872, her married name became Browne.

     Maj.-Gen. Andrew Smythe Montagu Browne married Alice Jane Fergusson, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Alexander Duncan Fergusson and Margaret Hope, on 29 August 1872.¹ He died in 1916.¹
     He lived at St. John's Point, Killough, County Down, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Gerard de Furnivalle was the son of Gerard de Furnivalle and Andel (?)^1,2 He married Maud de Luvetot, daughter of William de Luvetot and Maud fitz Walter.³ He died in 1219 at Jerusalem, Israel^G.³
     In 1204 he had livery of the lands of his wife at Hallamshire.² From 1214 to 1215 he was one of the knights appinted by King John to treat with Robert de Ros and other insurrectionary lords.² He was ordered to reside at Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire to keep the peace.²

     Maud de Luvetot was the daughter of William de Luvetot and Maud fitz Walter.¹ She married Gerard de Furnivalle, son of Gerard de Furnivalle and Andel (?).² She died after 23 June 1247.¹

     William de Luvetot died before 1181.¹

     Major Harry James Fergusson was born on 18 December 1852.¹ He was the son of Major Robert Duncan Fergusson and Helen Blackburn.² He married Frances Brandling, daughter of Colonel unknown Brandling, in 1897.¹ He died on 9 February 1902 at age 49.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He was Military Secretary and Aide-de-Camp to General Sir J. Ross, GCB, commander of Canadian troops.¹
