Andrew Desmond Pelly was born on 28 August 1923.1 He was the son of Sir Kenneth Raymond Pelly and Elspeth Norna Grant.2 He married Nancye Jean Tatham, daughter of Lt.-Col. Eric Tillyer Tatham and Hon. Lettice Theresa Digby, on 9 June 1945.1 He died on 9 February 2015 at age 91.3
