Sir William Paston, 1st Bt. was born circa 1610.1 He was the son of Sir Edmund Paston and Katherine Knyvett.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Hewitt, daughter of unknown Hewitt.1 He married, firstly, Lady Katherine Bertie, daughter of Robert Bertie, 1st Earl of Lindsey and Hon. Elizabeth Montagu, before 1631.1 He died on 22 February 1662/63.1
He held the office of Sheriff of Norfolk from 1636 to 1637.1 He was created 1st Baronet Paston, of Oxnead, Norfolk [England] on 7 June 1641.1
