Sir Simon Archer was born in 1581.1 He was the son of Andrew Archer and Margaret Raleigh.1 He married Anna Ferrers, daughter of Sir John Ferrers and Dorothy Puckering, in 1614.1 He died in 1642.1
He held the office of Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1627/28.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tamworth on 30 April 1640.2 He was an antiquary.2
