     Frances Mary Alice Northcote was born in 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Hon. Arthur Francis Northcote and Alice Caroline Owen.² She married Charles Richard Jelf, son of Sir Arthur Richard Jelf, on 28 December 1899.¹ She died on 21 January 1960.¹
     From 28 December 1899, her married name became Jelf.

     Charles Richard Jelf was the son of Sir Arthur Richard Jelf.² He married Frances Mary Alice Northcote, daughter of Rev. Hon. Arthur Francis Northcote and Alice Caroline Owen, on 28 December 1899.¹ He died on 8 June 1960.¹

     Elizabeth Northcote was the daughter of Sir Arthur Northcote, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Godolphin.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Mary Arabella Toller was the daughter of S. Bush Toller.¹ She married Rev. Hon. Arthur Francis Northcote, son of Stafford Henry Northcote, 1st Earl of Iddesleigh and Cecilia Frances Farrer, on 6 April 1880.¹ She died on 7 May 1888.¹
     From 6 April 1880, her married name became Northcote.

     Sir Geoffry Alexander Stafford Northcote was born on 9 February 1881.¹ He was the son of Rev. Hon. Arthur Francis Northcote and Mary Arabella Toller.² He married Edith Juliet Mary Adams, daughter of Reverend James Williams Adams, V.C. and Alice Mary Willshire, on 27 October 1910.¹ He died on 10 July 1948 at age 67.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1904 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was with the Kenya Civil Service between 1904 and 1927.¹ He was Cheif Secretary [Northern Rhodesia] between 1927 and 1930.¹ He held the office of Colonial Secretary [Gold Coast] between 1930 and 1934.¹ He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of British Guiana from 24 July 1934 to 1937.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1935.¹ He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Hong Kong between 1937 and 1941.¹ He gained the rank of Principal Information Officer between 1942 and 1947 in the East African Command.¹ He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)¹ He held the office of Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly in April 1948.¹

     Reverend James Williams Adams, V.C. married Alice Mary Willshire, daughter of Sir Thomas Willshire, 1st Bt..¹
     He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)¹

     Edith Juliet Mary Adams was the daughter of Reverend James Williams Adams, V.C. and Alice Mary Willshire.^2,1 She married Sir Geoffry Alexander Stafford Northcote, son of Rev. Hon. Arthur Francis Northcote and Mary Arabella Toller, on 27 October 1910.¹ She died on 28 February 1958.¹
     From 27 October 1910, her married name became Northcote.

     Maxwell Adams Stafford Northcote was born on 22 November 1911.¹ He is the son of Sir Geoffry Alexander Stafford Northcote and Edith Juliet Mary Adams.² He married Katharine Sheild, daughter of Charles Campbell Sheild, on 17 June 1958.¹
     He was educated at King's School, Canterbury, Kent, England^G.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1942 and 1946, in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was Honorary Secretary of the Dimbula Planters Association between 1951 and 1952.¹ He lived in 2003 at Nairobi, Kenya^G.¹
