     George Herbert Ewart was born on 27 February 1857.¹ He was the son of Sir William Ewart, 1st Bt. and Isabella Kelso Mathewson.² He married Alice Flora Hamilton, daughter of Richard Tipping Hamilton, on 20 October 1886.¹ He died on 26 March 1924 at age 67.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He lived at Firmount, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Anna Kathleen Ewart is the daughter of George Herbert Ewart and Alice Flora Hamilton.² She married James Ogilvie Duncan, son of A. J. Duncan, on 17 December 1925.¹
     From 17 December 1925, her married name became Duncan.
