Isabella Kelso Mathewson was the daughter of Lavens Mathewson.2 She married Sir William Ewart, 1st Bt., son of William Ewart and Mary Anne Rossman, on 10 December 1840.1 She died on 8 January 1905.1

Sir William Quartus Ewart, 2nd Bt. was born on 14 June 1844.1 He was the son of Sir William Ewart, 1st Bt. and Isabella Kelso Mathewson.2 He married Mary Warren Heard, daughter of Robert Heard, on 23 November 1876.1 He died on 17 October 1919 at age 75.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)1 He was head of William Ewart & Son.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Belfast.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Down.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Ewart, of Glenmachan, co. Charles Gordon Ewart was born on 21 June 1885.1 He was the son of Sir William Quartus Ewart, 2nd Bt. and Mary Warren Heard.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Greeves, daughter of Joseph Malcomson Greeves and Mary Margretta Gribbon, on 14 December 1915.3 He died on 4 August 1936 at age 51, without issue.3
