Emily Jane Cook was born on 8 January 1849.1 She was the daughter of Sir Francis Cook, 1st Bt. and Emily Martha Lucas.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Euston Henry Sartorius, V.C., son of Admiral Sir George Rose Sartorius and Sophia Lamb, on 22 December 1874.1 She died on 6 January 1915 at age 65, leaving issue.1
