Christopher Bethell-Codrington was born in October 1764.2 He was the son of Edward Codrington and Rebecca le Sturgeon.2 He married Hon. Caroline Georgina Harriet Foley, daughter of Thomas Foley, 2nd Baron Foley of Kidderminster and Lady Henrietta Stanhope, on 16 August 1796.2 He died on 4 February 1843 at age 78.
He was given the name of Christopher Codrington at birth.2 On 17 November 1797 his name was legally changed to Christopher Bethell-Codrington by Royal Licence.2 He lived at Dodington Park, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2

Admiral Sir Edward Codrington was born on 27 April 1770.1 He was the son of Edward Codrington and Rebecca le Sturgeon.2 He married Jane Hall, daughter of Jasper Hall, on 27 December 1802.1 He died on 28 April 1851 at age 81.1
He gained the rank of Admiral of the Blue.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1 He fought in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, in command H.M.S.
