     Frank Boyd Merriman, 1st and last Baron Merriman was born on 28 April 1880.1 He was the son of Frank Merriman and Mariquita Boyd.1 He married, firstly, Eva Mary Freer, daughter of Reverend H. L. Freer, on 11 September 1907.1 He married, secondly, Olive McLaren Carver, daughter of F. W. Carver, on 18 December 1920.1 He married, thirdly, Jane Lamb Stormouth, daughter of James Stormouth, on 1 January 1953.1 He died on 18 January 1962 at age 81.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1904 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Manchester Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, and was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1919.1 He held the office of Recorder of Wigan between 1920 and 1928.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Manchester, Rusholme Division between 1924 and 1928.1 He held the office of Bencher of the Inner Temple in 1927.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1928.1 He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1928 and 1929.1 He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1932 and 1933.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1933.1 He held the office of President of the High Court, Probate, Divorce and Admiralty Divisions in 1933.1 He was created 1st Baron Merriman, of Knutsford in the County Palatine of Chester [U.K.] on 27 January 1941.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1950.1 On his death, his title became extinct.1

     Frank Merriman was born on 18 July 1852.1 He was the son of Charles Anthony Merriman and Catherine Langshaw.1,2 He married Mariquita Boyd, daughter of J. P. Boyd, on 8 July 1879.1 He died on 25 February 1920 at age 67.1
     He was educated at Sandbach Grammar School, Sandbach, Cheshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Hollingford House, Knutsford, Cheshire, EnglandG.1

     Charles Anthony Merriman was born on 28 June 1814 at Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.2,3 He was the son of Thomas Merriman and Mary Clark.3 He married Catherine Langshaw on 30 September 1840 at Lancaster Priory Church, Lancaster, Lancashire, England.2,3 He died on 30 March 1870 at age 55 at Knutsford, Cheshire, England.2,3
     He lived at Heath House, Knutsford, Cheshire, EnglandG.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)1

     From 18 December 1920, her married name became Merriman.1 After her marriage, Olive McLaren Carver was styled as Baroness Merriman on 27 January 1941.
