     Agnes Douglas was the daughter of Sir William Douglas, 6th of Drumlanrig and Elizabeth Gordon.¹ She married Andrew Cunningham of Kirkshaw.¹
     Her married name became Cunningham.¹

     Hon. Violet Albina Gibson was the daughter of Edward Gibson, 1st Baron Ashbourne and Frances Maria Adelaide Colles.¹ She died on 2 May 1956, unmarried.¹
     In 1926 she went to Rome to try to shoot Mussolini.¹

     Janet Douglas was the daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Margaret Douglas.¹ She married, firstly, William Douglas of Coshogle.² She married, secondly, Sir John Charteris, 9th of Amisfield, son of Robert Charteris, 8th of Amisfield and Marion Johnstone, in 1552.²
     From 1552, her married name became Charteris.²

     Hon. Frances Maud Gibson was the daughter of Edward Gibson, 1st Baron Ashbourne and Frances Maria Adelaide Colles.¹ She married Alexander Porter, son of Sir Andrew Marshall Porter, 1st Bt. and Agnes Adinston Horsbrugh, on 2 July 1904.¹ She died on 5 March 1957.¹
     From 2 July 1904, her married name became Porter.¹

     Catherine Maxwell was the daughter of George Maxwell, 2nd of Newark.¹ She married James Douglas, 3rd of Mains, son of James Douglas, 2nd of Mains.¹

     Alexander Porter was born on 26 December 1872.² He was the son of Sir Andrew Marshall Porter, 1st Bt. and Agnes Adinston Horsbrugh.^3,4 He married Hon. Frances Maud Gibson, daughter of Edward Gibson, 1st Baron Ashbourne and Frances Maria Adelaide Colles, on 2 July 1904.¹ He died on 4 February 1946 at age 73.¹

     Sir Andrew Marshall Porter, 1st Bt. was born on 27 June 1837.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Scott Porter and Margaret Marshall.² He married Agnes Adinston Horsbrugh, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander Horsbrugh of Horsbrugh, on 12 April 1869.¹ He died on 9 January 1919 at age 81.¹
     He graduated from Queen's College, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a practising barrister in 1860.¹ He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1872.¹ He held the office of Bencher of King's Inns in 1878.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Queen's University, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G, in 1880.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Londonderry between 1881 and 1883.¹ He held the office of Solicitor-General [Ireland] between 1881 and 1883.¹ He held the office of Attorney-General [Ireland] in 1883.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1883.¹ He held the office of Master of the Rolls between 1883 and 1906.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Porter, of Merrion Square, City and County of Dublin [U.K.] on 22 July 1902.¹

     Hon. Constance Anna Gibson was the daughter of Edward Gibson, 1st Baron Ashbourne and Frances Maria Adelaide Colles.¹ She died on 7 August 1960, unmarried.¹
     In 1926 she went to Rome to secure her sister Victoria's release from prison.¹

     Hugh de Montgomery, Earl of Shrewsbury was the son of Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Shrewsbury and Mabel de Bellême.¹ He died in 1098, without issue.¹
     He was styled as Earl of Shrewsbury.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Arundel [E., 1067] on 27 July 1094.¹

     Margaret Douglas was the daughter of Sir William Douglas of Drumlanrig, younger and Margaret Gordon.¹ She married Sir Robert Montgomery of Skelmorley, 1st Bt.¹
     Her married name became Montgomery.¹
