     Vice-Admiral Sir Nicholas Edward Archdale, 2nd Bt. was born on 11 June 1881.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Mervyn Archdale, 1st Bt. and Alicia Bland Fleming.1 He married Gerda Henriette Sievers, daughter of Frederik Christian Sievers, on 22 July 1920.1 He died on 28 July 1955 at age 74.1
     He fought in the First World War, with the submarine flotillas.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in the Royal Navy.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V in 1929.1 He was General Inspector, Ministry of Home Affairs North Ireland between 1931 and 1946.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Archdale, of Riversdale, co. Fermanagh [U.K., 1928] on 1 November 1943.1

     Gerda Henriette Sievers was the daughter of Frederik Christian Sievers.1 She married Vice-Admiral Sir Nicholas Edward Archdale, 2nd Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Mervyn Archdale, 1st Bt. and Alicia Bland Fleming, on 22 July 1920.1 She died on 17 December 1969.1
     Her married name became Archdale.

     Angel Archdale was born on 10 August 1882.1 She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Mervyn Archdale, 1st Bt. and Alicia Bland Fleming.1 She married Percy Marmaduke Tottenham, son of Captain Francis Loftus Tottenham and Cicell Grimston, on 31 August 1909.1 She died on 14 April 1973 at age 90, leaving issue.1
     From 31 August 1909, her married name became Tottenham.1

     Lt.-Col. Audley Quintin Archdale was born on 3 April 1886.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Mervyn Archdale, 1st Bt. and Alicia Bland Fleming.1 He married Mary Edith Haigh Bury, daughter of Oliver Bury, on 22 March 1922.1 He died on 17 January 1978 at age 91 at Treevan, Llangarron, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England.1,2
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     He was educated at Felsted School, Essex, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Wye Agricultural College, Wye, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King's African Rifles.1

     Captain Humphreys Archdale was born on 29 July 1896.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Mervyn Archdale, 1st Bt. and Alicia Bland Fleming.1 He married Mary Katherine Gilbert, daughter of Robert Leslie Gilbert, on 26 May 1944.1 He died on 24 August 1972 at age 76.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     She gained the rank of 2nd Officer in the Women's Royal Naval Service.1 Her married name became Archdale.

     Anne Colquhoun Cuninghame was born on 3 April 1801.1,2 She was the daughter of John Cuninghame, 13th of Craigends and Margaret Cuningham-Fairlie.1 She married, firstly, Dr. George Cunningham Monteith on 28 October 1822.1,3 She married, secondly, John Douglas Edward Henry Campbell, 7th Duke of Argyll, son of Field Marshal John Campbell, 5th Duke of Argyll and Elizabeth Gunning, Baroness Hamilton of Hameldon, on 8 January 1831.1 She died on 25 February 1874 at age 72 at Rutland Gate, London, EnglandG, without issue.1
     From 28 October 1822, her married name became Monteith.1 From 8 January 1831, her married name became Campbell. After her marriage, Anne Colquhoun Cuninghame was styled as Duchess of Argyll on 22 October 1839.
