     Rev. Sir Charles Castleton, 6th Bt. was baptised on 4 September 1659 at Sturston, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He was the son of William Castleton and Sarah Sidney.1 He married Elizabeth Taverner, daughter of Edward Taverner, in 1693.1 He died in September 1745.1
     He was educated at Thetford School, Thetford, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Bury School, Bury, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He matriculated at Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, on 16 April 1678.1 He graduated from Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1682 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1685 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector between 1692 and 1745 at Gillingham, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Castleton, of St. Edmondsbury, co. Suffolk [E., 1641] circa July 1724.1

     Sir Hugh Cathcart, 1st Bt. was the son of Hugh Cathcart and Grizel Agnew.1 He married unknown daughter Broun, daughter of Sir Patrick Broun of Colstoun, 1st Bt., in 1695.1 He died in March 1723.1
     In 1689 he garrisoned Ardmillan and raised a troop of Fencibles in Carrickshire.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire [Scotland] between 1702 and 1707.1 On 19 December 1703 he had charter of the barony of Carleton.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cathcart, of Carleton, co. Ayr [Nova Scotia] on 20 January 1704.1
