     Sir William Button, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1614.¹ He was the son of Sir William Button, 1st Bt. and Ruth Dunch.¹ He married Anne Rolle, daughter of Sir Henry Rolle and Anne Dennis, on 6 April 1640 at Petrockstowe, England^G.¹ He died on 8 March 1659/60, without issue.¹ He was buried at Wraxall, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ His will (dated 6 March 1659/60) was proven (by probate) in February 1661.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Button, of Alton, co. Wilts. [E., 1622] on 16 January 1654/55.¹

     Anne Rolle was the daughter of Sir Henry Rolle and Anne Dennis.¹ She married Sir William Button, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Button, 1st Bt. and Ruth Dunch, on 6 April 1640 at Petrockstowe, England^G.¹ She died on 4 February 1665.¹ She was buried at Wraxall, Wiltshire, England^G.¹
     From 6 April 1640, her married name became Button.¹

     Sir Henry Rolle is the son of Sir Henry Rolle. He married Anne Dennis, daughter of Thomas Dennis.
     He lived at Stevenstone, Devon, England^G.¹

     Sir Robert Button, 3rd Bt. was born in 1622.¹ He was the son of Sir William Button, 1st Bt. and Ruth Dunch.¹ He married Eleanor Compton, daughter of William Compton and Eleanor Meux.¹ He died circa 1679, without issue.¹ His will (dated 20 July 1677) was proven (by probate) in 1679.¹
     He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 24 May 1639.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Button, of Alton, co. Wilts. [E., 1622] on 8 March 1659/60.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire from 1670 to 1671.¹

     Eleanor Compton was the daughter of William Compton and Eleanor Meux.¹ She married Sir Robert Button, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Button, 1st Bt. and Ruth Dunch.¹ She died before 1707.¹
     Her married name became Button.¹

     William Compton lived at Hartbury, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Eleanor Meux is the daughter of Sir John Meux.¹

     Sir John Meux is the son of William Meux and Elinor Strangways.
