     Sir Matthew Decker, 1st and last Bt. was born on 13 December 1679 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is the son of Dirck Decker and Catryn Paus. He married Henrietta Watkins, daughter of Reverend Richard Watkins. He died on 18 March 1749 at age 69.
     He was director of the East India Company. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bishop's Castle. He was created 1st Baronet Decker [Great Britain] in 1716. He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey in 1729. He wrote the book Serious considerations on the several high duties which the Nation in general, as well as Trade in particular, labours under, with a proposal for preventing the removal of goods, discharging the trader from any search, and raising all the Publick Supplies by one single Tax, published 1743. He wrote the book Essay on the Causes of the Decline of the Foreign Trade, consequently of the value of the lands in Britain, and on the means to restore both, published 1744.

     Jacob des Bouverie, 1st Viscount Folkestone was baptised on 14 October 1694 at St. Katherine Cree, London, England^G.³ He was the son of Sir William des Bouverie, 1st Bt. and Anne Urry.³ He married, firstly, Mary Clarke, daughter of Bartholomew Clarke and Mary Young, on 31 January 1723/24 at St. Paul's Cathedral, London, England^G.³ He married, secondly, Hon. Elizabeth Marsham, daughter of Robert Marsham, 1st Baron of Romney and Elizabeth Shovell, on 21 April 1741 at Swanscombe, Kent, England^G.¹ He died on 17 February 1761 at age 66.⁴
     He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1708.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 20 October 1711.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet des Bouverie, of St. Catherine Cree Church, London [G.B., 1714] on 21 November 1736.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Salisbury between 1741 and 1747.¹ He held the office of Recorder of Salisbury in 1744.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Folkestone, of Folkestone, co. Kent [Great Britain] on 29 June 1747.⁴ He was created 1st Lord Longford, Baron of Longford, co. Wilts [Great Britain] on 29 June 1747.⁴

     Captain Hugh Berners was born on 25 July 1801 at London, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Denny Berners and Sarah Jarrett.¹ He was baptised on 24 October 1801 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England^G.² He married Julia Alice Ashton on 26 October 1832.¹ He died on 7 May 1891 at age 89 at Woolverstone Park, Woolverstone, Suffolk, England.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     William Allison Allison lived at Kilvington, Thirsk, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Colonel unknown Pitcairn lived at Pitcullo, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Constance Louisa Delmé Radcliffe was the daughter of Frederick Peter Delmé Radcliffe. She married Charles William Talbot-Ponsonby, son of Rear-Admiral Sir Charles Talbot and Hon. Charlotte Georgiana Ponsonby, on 15 January 1868.¹ She died on 23 March 1933.¹
     From 15 January 1868, her married name became Talbot-Ponsonby.¹
