     From 14 March 1967, her married name became Arbuthnott.¹ She lived in 1999 at Buttermilk Cottage, Barford St. Micahel, Deddington, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Henry Slingsby, 1st Bt. was born on 14 January 1601/2.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Slingsby and Frances Vavasour.^2,3 He married Barbara Bellasyse, daughter of Thomas Belasyse, 1st Viscount Fauconberg of Henknowle and Barbara Cholmley, on 7 July 1631 at Kensington Church, Kensington, London, England.¹ He died on 8 June 1658 at age 56 at Tower Hill, London, England, beheaded.¹
     He was educated at Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Slingsby, of Scriven, co. York [N.S.] on 2 March 1638. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knaresborough in 1640.¹ He wrote the book Diary of Sir Henry Slingsby, published 1836.¹
