Reverend Henry Cholwell Cooper was born illegitimately on 20 August 1806 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Sir Horace David Cholwell St. Paul, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Campbell Cupples.1 He married Susan Bowden on 26 October 1831 at London, EnglandG.1 He died on 10 September 1877 at age 71 at Toronto, Ontario, CanadaG.1
He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1828 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) He was a missionary for the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts in 1832 at Huron, Canada. He was Minister in 1847 at English Church, McGillivray Township, Huron County, Ontario, Canada.2 He was Rector in 1849 at Christ Church, Mimico, York County, Ontario, Canada.2
