Roger Jones, 1st Viscount Ranelagh was the son of Most Reverend Thomas Jones and Margaret Purdon.1 He married, firstly, Frances Moore, daughter of Garret Moore, 1st Viscount Moore of Drogheda.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Longueville, daughter of Sir Henry Longueville and Katherine Cary, after 1620.2 He died in 1643.2
