Emmeline St. Maur Seymour was born on 23 September 1860 at Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.2,3 She was the daughter of Reverend Henry Seymour and Susanah Biscoe Tritton.2,3 She married George Stanley Byng, 8th Viscount Torrington, son of Hon. Robert Barlow Palmer Byng and Elizabeth Maria Lowther Gwatkin, on 3 February 1885.1 She died on 7 June 1912 at age 51.4
From 3 February 1885, her married name became Byng. After her marriage, Emmeline St. Maur Seymour was styled as Viscountess Torrington on 3 February 1885.

George Byng, 9th Viscount Torrington was born on 10 September 1886.1 He was the son of George Stanley Byng, 8th Viscount Torrington and Emmeline St. Maur Seymour.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Souray, daughter of Edwin Souray, on 29 September 1910.1 He married, secondly, Nora Elizabeth Ursula Wood-Pottle, daughter of Robert Wood-Pottle, in 1923.1 He and Eleanor Souray were divorced in 1921.2 He died on 24 April 1944 at age 57.1 He was also reported to have died without issue on 24 May 1944.2
He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Torrington, co. Devon [G.B., 1721] on 20 October 1889.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Byng, of Wrotham, Kent [G.B., 1715] on 20 October 1889.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Byng of Southill, co. Eleanor Souray was the daughter of Edwin Souray.2 She married George Byng, 9th Viscount Torrington, son of George Stanley Byng, 8th Viscount Torrington and Emmeline St. Maur Seymour, on 29 September 1910.1 She and George Byng, 9th Viscount Torrington were divorced in 1921.3 She died on 8 December 1931, committed suicide by coal-gas poisoning while of unsound mind.1
She was an actress (a Gaiety Girl.)3 After her marriage, Eleanor Souray was styled as Viscountess Torrington on 29 September 1910. From 29 September 1910, her married name became Byng.1
