Thomas Staples and Grace Wolseley.^1,2 He married Helen Lucy Johnstone Barrington, daughter of Captain Richard Williams Barrington and Henrietta Maria Jane Johnstone, on 26 April 1905.¹ He died on 22 May 1948 at age 79.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Thomas Staples was born in September 1824.² He was the son of Reverend John Molesworth Staples and Anne Alexander.² He married Grace Wolseley, daughter of Venerable William Hulbert Wolseley and Elizabeth Dawson, on 11 June 1868.² He died on 24 October 1886 at age 62.²
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Staff Corps.²

     Anne Barrington was the daughter of Daniel Barrington and Anne Williams.^1,2 She married Colonel Walter Carr Mackinnon on 29 November 1866.¹ She died in 1886.¹
