     Sir Robert John Maxwell-Hyslop was born on 6 June 1931 at Ivybridge, Devon, England.¹ He was the son of Captain Alexander Henry Maxwell-Hyslop and Cecilia Joan Bayly.¹ He married Joanna McCosh in 1968.¹ He died on 13 January 2010 at age 78.¹
     Sir Robert John Maxwell-Hyslop also went by the nick-name of Robin.¹ He was educated at Upper Canada College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tiverton between 1960 and 1992.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1992.¹
