     Jonathan Backhouse was born on 19 January 1779.1 He was the son of Jonathan Backhouse and Anne Pease.1 He married Hannah Chapman Gurney, daughter of Joseph Gurney, on 23 April 1811.1 He died on 7 October 1842 at age 63.1
     He was a banker.1 He lived at Polam, Darlington, County Durham, EnglandG.1
