     Vanessa Shanks is the daughter of George Hugh Pattson Shanks.1 She married, firstly, James D. Mitchell.2 She married, secondly, Michael Jeremy Thomas Clyde, son of Major Thomas Clyde and Lady Elizabeth Wellesley, in 1970.1
     Her married name became Mitchell.2 From 1970, her married name became Mitchell-Clyde.1

     Reinoud III Hertog van Gelre Graaf van Zutphen was born on 13 May 1333.1,2 He was the son of Reinoud II 'de Zwarte' Hertog van Gelre Graaf van Zutphen and Eleanor of Woodstock Plantagenet.1 He married Marie de Brabant, daughter of Jan III Hertog van Brabant en Limburg Herzog von Niederlothringen, on 1 July 1347 at Tervuren, Belgium.1,2 He died on 4 December 1371 at age 38, without issue.1
     He gained the title of Graf van Gelre.1 In May 1361 at Castle de Nijenbeek, Voorst, The Netherlands, he was captured by his brother Edward and imprisoned.2

     Edward Graf van Gelre Heer van Roermond en Kessel was born on 23 March 1336.1,2 He was the son of Reinoud II 'de Zwarte' Hertog van Gelre Graaf van Zutphen and Eleanor of Woodstock Plantagenet.1 He married Catherina von Bayern-Straubing, daughter of Albrecht I Herzog von Bayern-Straubing Comte de Hainaut et Graaf van Holland en Zeeland and Margareta von Schlesien-Liegnitz, on 1 November 1368.1,2 He died on 22 August 1371 at age 35 at Baesweiler, Germany, killed in action.1,2
     Between 1350 and 1361 he fought a civil war against his brother Reinould.2
