     Maria Isabella Smyth was the daughter of John Henry Smyth and Lady Elizabeth Anne FitzRoy.^2,3 She married Vice-Admiral Robert FitzRoy, son of General Lord Charles FitzRoy and Lady Frances Anne Stewart, on 22 February 1854.¹ She died on 29 December 1889.²
     From 22 February 1854, her married name became FitzRoy.¹

     Frances Fitzroy was born circa 1802.² She was the daughter of General Lord Charles FitzRoy and Lady Frances Anne Stewart.¹ She married George Rice-Trevor, 4th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor, son of George Talbot Rice, 3rd Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Hon. Frances Townshend, on 27 November 1824.¹ She died on 30 April 1878.¹
     From 27 November 1824, her married name became Rice-Trevor. After her marriage, Frances Fitzroy was styled as Baroness Dynevor of Dynevor on 9 April 1852.

     Lady Georgiana Fitzroy was the daughter of Augustus Henry Fitzroy, 3rd Duke of Grafton and Hon. Anne Liddell.¹ She married Rt. Hon. John Smyth, son of John Smyth and Bridget Foxley, on 4 June 1778.³ She died on 10 January 1799.³ She was also reported to have died on 18 January 1799.¹
     Her married name became Smyth.

     Rt. Hon. John Smyth was born on 12 February 1748.³ He was the son of John Smyth and Bridget Foxley.³ He married Lady Georgiana Fitzroy, daughter of Augustus Henry Fitzroy, 3rd Duke of Grafton and Hon. Anne Liddell, on 4 June 1778.³ He died on 12 February 1811 at age 63.³
     He held the office of a Lord of the Admiralty.³ He held the office of a Lord of the Treasury.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)³ He held the office of Master of the Mint.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract.³ He lived at Heath Hall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Margaret Johnstone was born before 1672.¹ She was the daughter of James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Annandale and Hartfell and Lady Henrietta Douglas.¹ She married Sir James Montgomery, son of Sir Robert Montgomery and Lady Mary Campbell.¹
     Her married name became Montgomery.¹

     Sir James Montgomery is the son of Sir Robert Montgomery and Lady Mary Campbell. He married Lady Margaret Johnstone, daughter of James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Annandale and Hartfell and Lady Henrietta Douglas.¹
     He lived at Skelmorlie, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Lady Henrietta Johnstone was born on 21 January 1668/69.¹ She was the daughter of James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Annandale and Hartfell and Lady Henrietta Douglas.¹ She married Sir John Carmichael, son of Colonel Hon. Sir James Carmichael and Margaret Grierson, on 15 May 1684 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^1,2 She died circa November 1689.³ She was buried on 29 November 1689 at Carmichael, Scotland^G.³
     From 15 May 1684, her married name became Carmichael.¹

     Sir John Carmichael was the son of Colonel Hon. Sir James Carmichael and Margaret Grierson.² He married Lady Henrietta Johnstone, daughter of James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Annandale and Hartfell and Lady Henrietta Douglas, on 15 May 1684 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^1,3 He died circa January 1691.⁴ He was buried on 28 January 1691 at Carmichael, Scotland^G.⁴
     He styled himself as 2nd Baronet Carmichael, of Bonnington, co. Lanark [N.S., 1676] on 5 November 1681.³ He lived at Bonningtoun, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹

     James Johnstone, 2nd Marquess of Annandale was born circa 1688.¹ He was the son of Sir William Johnstone, 1st Marquess of Annandale and Sophia Fairholm.¹ He died on 10 February 1729/30 at Naples, Italy^G, from consumption, unmarried.¹ He was buried on 25 September 1730 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England^G.¹
     In 1708 he was chosen as Member of Parliament (M.P.) for co. Dumfries, but was not allowed to take it as the eldest son of a Peer.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount of Annand [S., 1701] on 14 January 1721.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Johnston of Lochwood, Lochmaben, Moffatdale and Evandale [S., 1701] on 14 January 1721.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Hartfell [S., 1701] on 14 January 1720/21.¹ He held the office of Hereditary Steward of Annandale and Hereditary Keeper of Lochmaben Palace on 14 January 1720/21. He succeeded as the 2nd Marquess of Annandale [S., 1701] on 14 January 1720/21.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Annandale and Hartfell [S., 1662] on 14 January 1720/21, as well the 1661 creation.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Johnston of Lochwood, Lochmaben, Moffatdale and Evandale [S., 1662] on 14 January 1720/21, as well the 1661 creation.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount of Annand [S., 1661] on 14 January 1720/21.¹ In 1726 he executed a deed entailing his titles on his sister Henrietta's family, thus disinheriting his half-brothers.¹

     Sir Richard Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone, 1st Bt. was born on 21 September 1732.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Johnstone and Charlotte van Lore van den Bempdé.² He married, firstly, Catherine Agnew, daughter of James Agnew, in November 1756.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Scott, daughter of John Scott, on 26 February 1795.¹ He died in July 1807 at age 74.¹
     He was given the name of Richard Johnstone at birth.² In 1793 his name was legally changed to Richard Vanden-Bempde by Act of Parliament.¹ In 1795 his name was legally changed to Richard Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone by Royal Licence.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Vanden-Bempde-Johnstone, of Hackness Hall, Yorkshire [Great Britain] on 6 July 1795, with a special remainder to his brother Charles John Johnstone.²
