     Francis Godolphin, 2nd Earl of Godolphin was born on 3 September 1678.³ He was the son of Sidney Godolphin, 1st Earl of Godolphin and Margaret Blagge.^1,4 He married Henrietta Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, daughter of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Sarah Jenyns, on 23 April 1698.¹ He died on 17 January 1766 at age 87.³
     He was styled as Viscount Rialton between 1706 and 1712.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Godolphin in 1712. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁵
     

     Sidney Godolphin, 1st Earl of Godolphin was baptised on 15 June 1645 at Breage, Cornwall, England.³ He was the son of Sir Francis Godolphin and Dorothy Berkeley.^4,5 He married Margaret Blagge, daughter of Thomas Blagge, on 16 May 1675 at Temple Church, London, England^G.
     He gained the title of 1st Earl of Godolphin. He held the office of Lord High Treasurer.⁶

     Lady Elizabeth Churchill was born on 15 March 1687.³ She was the daughter of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Sarah Jenyns.¹ She married Scroop Egerton, 1st Duke of Bridgwater, son of John Egerton, 3rd Earl of Bridgwater and Lady Jane Powlett, on 9 February 1703.^1,3 She died on 22 March 1713/14 at age 27 from smallpox.⁴ She was buried on 29 March 1714 at Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, England^G.⁵
     After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Churchill was styled as Countess of Bridgwater on 9 February 1703. From 9 February 1703, her married name became Egerton.

     Scroop Egerton, 1st Duke of Bridgwater was born on 11 August 1681.³ He was the son of John Egerton, 3rd Earl of Bridgwater and Lady Jane Powlett.³ He was baptised on 14 August 1681 at St. Giles's, Cripplegate, London, England^G.³ He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Churchill, daughter of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Sarah Jenyns, on 9 February 1703.^1,4 He married, secondly, Lady Rachael Russell, daughter of Wriothesley Russell, 2nd Duke of Bedford and Elizabeth Howland, on 4 August 1722.⁵ He died on 11 January 1744/45 at age 63.⁶

     Lady Mary Churchill was born on 15 July 1689.³ She was the daughter of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Sarah Jenyns.¹ She married John Montagu, 2nd Duke of Montagu, son of Ralph Montagu, 1st Duke of Montagu and Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley, on 17 March 1705.^1,3 She died on 14 May 1751 at age 61.³
     From 17 March 1705, her married name became Montagu. After her marriage, Lady Mary Churchill was styled as Duchess of Montagu on 9 March 1709.

     John Montagu, 2nd Duke of Montagu was born on 29 March 1690.³ He was the son of Ralph Montagu, 1st Duke of Montagu and Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley.¹ He married Lady Mary Churchill, daughter of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Sarah Jenyns, on 17 March 1705.^1,4 He died on 5 July 1749 at age 59.³
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Montagu of Boughton [E., 1621] on 9 March 1708/9.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Montagu [E., 1689] on 9 March 1708/9.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Marquess of Monthermer [E., 1705] on 9 March 1708/9.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Duke of Montagu [E., 1705] on 9 March 1708/9.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Monthermer, of Monthermer, co.      Ralph Montagu, 1st Duke of Montagu was baptised on 24 December 1638.³ He was the son of Edward Montagu, 2nd Baron Montagu of Boughton and Anne Winwood.^4,5 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Wriothesley, daughter of Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southampton and Lady Elizabeth Leigh, on 24 August 1673.³ He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Cavendish, daughter of Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Frances Pierrepont, on 8 September 1692.⁶ He died on 9 March 1708/9 at age 70.⁶

     Her married name became Jenyns.

     Sir Gifford Thornhurst, 1st Bt. married Susanna Temple, daughter of Sir Alexander Temple and Mary Sommer, in 1627.² He died in 1627.²
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Thornhurst, of Agnes Court, Kent [England] in 1622.¹ He lived at Agnes Court, Kent, England^G.¹

     John Churchill, Marquess of Blandford was born on 13 February 1685/86.^1,3 He was the son of John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough and Sarah Jenyns.¹ He died on 20 February 1702/3 at age 17 at King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, from smallpox.¹
     He was styled as Lord Churchill between 1689 and 1702.¹ He was educated from 1696 to 1700 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was styled as Marquess of Blandford from 1702 to 1703.
     The Earl of Ailesbury describes him as "the finest young man that could be seen."¹
