She married Karl II Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Strelitz, son of Karl Ludwig Friedrich Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Elisabeth Albertine von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, on 8 September 1768.3 She died on 22 May 1782 at age 29.3
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt.1
