Sir John Kelk, 1st Bt. was born on 21 February 1816.2 He was the son of John Kelk and Martha Germain.2 He married Rebecca Anne Kelk, daughter of George Kelk, on 5 September 1848.2 He died on 12 September 1886 at age 70.3
