     William fitz Thomas is the son of Thomas Fitzwilliam and Agnes Bertram.1
     He pleaded before the commissioners of King Edward I that he claimed in his lands of Spotsborugh, Yorkshire the rights of assize which his ancestors had there since the conquest.1

     Thomas Fitzwilliam is the son of William Fitzwilliam.1 He married Agnes Bertram, daughter of Roger Bertram.1
     In 1253 he had freewarren in his lands in Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.1 He fought in the Battle of Chesterfield in 1266, where he was made prisoner by King Henry III.1

     He founded the Monastry of Hampole.1 In 1178 he rendered account of 10 marks for his marriage with teh mother of John the Constable.1

     Her lands were divided between the issue of her two marriages, with the Lacy lands going to John the Constable and the lands of Lizour to her son William.1
