Sir Robert William Perks, 1st Bt. was born on 24 April 1849.2 He was the son of Reverend George Thomas Perks and Mary Dodds.2 He married Edith Mewburn, daughter of William Mewburn, on 24 April 1878.2 He died on 30 November 1934 at age 85.2
He was a practising solicitor in 1875.2 He was a solicitor in partnership with Sir Henry Fowler.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lincolnshire, Louth Division between 1892 and 1910.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He was a Contractor for Public Works, where he worked in conjunction with C. H. Walker and Co. Ltd the Buenos Aires Port Works, and the Transadine Tunnel.2 He was created 1st Baronet Perks, of Wykham Park, in the parish of Neithrop, in the county of Oxford [U.K.] on 24 July 1908.1
