Sir Theophilus Oglethorpe was born in September 1650.1 He was the son of Sutton Oglethorpe and Frances Matthew.1 He married Eleanor Wall, daughter of Richard Wall.1 He died on 10 April 1702 at age 51.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Morpeth in 1685.1 He was appointed Knight on 7 July 1685.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1688.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haslemere in 1698.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haslemere in 1701.1
