     William Maxwell was baptised on 15 September 1723 at Kelton, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Sir George Maxwell of Orchardtoun, 5th Bt. and Margaret Blacklock.¹ He died, without issue.¹

     Robert Maclellan of Barscobe is the son of Sir Thomas MacLellan of Bombie.¹

     Fergusia Maccabin married Sir George Wishart, 1st Bt., son of Reverend William Wishart and Christian Burne.¹
     Her married name became Wishart.¹

     Ann Barclay married Sir George Wishart, 1st Bt., son of Reverend William Wishart and Christian Burne.¹ She died on 29 May 1708.¹

     Margaret Wishart is the daughter of Sir George Wishart, 1st Bt. and Ann Barclay.¹ She married Daniel Stuart, son of Sir Archibald Stewart of Castlemilk, 1st Bt. and Mary Carmichael.¹

     Daniel Stuart is the son of Sir Archibald Stewart of Castlemilk, 1st Bt. and Mary Carmichael.¹ He married Margaret Wishart, daughter of Sir George Wishart, 1st Bt. and Ann Barclay.¹

     Sir William Stuart, 2nd Bt. was the son of Daniel Stuart and Margaret Wishart.¹ He died in 1777 at Paris, France.¹
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Wishart.

     Mary Stuart is the daughter of Daniel Stuart and Margaret Wishart.¹ She married John Belshes of Invermay.¹
     Her married name became Belshes.¹
