     Le Gendre Nicholas Starkie was born on 1 December 1799.1 He was the son of Le Gendre Pierce Starkie and Charlotte Preedy.1 He married Anne Chamberlain, daughter of Abraham Chamberlain, on 23 February 1827.1 He died on 15 May 1865 at age 65.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract between 1826 and 1830.1
