Robert Mortimer was born circa 1442.1 He was the son of David Mortimer and Elizabeth Doreward.1 He married Lady Isabel Howard, daughter of John Howard, 1st Duke of Norfolk and Catherine de Moleyns.1 He died on 22 August 1485 at Bosworth, Leicestershire, England, killed in action.1
In 1467 he inherited teh manor of Ashfield, Suffolk from his cousin George House.1 He lived at Great Bromley, Essex, England.1 He lived at Landymere Hall, Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex, England.1 He fought in the Battle of Bosworth on 22 August 1485.1
