     Sir Aron ap Rhys is the son of Rhys ap Bledri and Angharad verch Llywelyn.2 He married Gwenllian verch Ednynet, daughter of Ednynet 'Fychan' (?).1
     In 1190 he attended King Richard I on Crusade.1 For his gallantry against the Saracens he is said to have been made a Knight of the Sepulchre of Our Saviour.1
