     General Sir Abraham Josias Cloete was born on 7 August 1794.1 He was the son of Peter Laurence Cloëté.2 He married Anne Woolcombe Louis, daughter of Thomas Louis, on 8 May 1857.2 He died on 26 October 1886 at age 92 at Gloucester Place, London, England.2
