     Dorothy Kathleen Hughes-Onslow is the daughter of Major Arthur Hughes-Onslow and Anne Kathleen Whitehead.^1,2 She married Captain Douglas Plenderleath Lithgow, son of Samuel Lithgow, on 4 March 1919.¹
     From 4 March 1919, her married name became Lithgow.¹

     Major Arthur Hughes-Onslow was born on 21 August 1862.² He was the son of Henry John Hughes-Onslow and Judith Charlotte Barras.² He married Anne Kathleen Whitehead, daughter of George Whitehead, on 3 June 1891.² He died on 17 August 1914 at age 51 at France, while on active service.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the 10th Hussars.²
