     Lt.-Col. George Blicke Champion de Crespigny was born on 31 October 1815 at Antwerp, Belgium.1,2 He was the son of Charles James Fox Champion de Crespigny and Eliza Julia Trent.2,3 He married Elizabeth Jane Buchanan, daughter of Alexander Buchanan and Mary Ann Buchanan, on 11 June 1851.1 He died on 30 June 1893 at age 77.1
     He was Paymaster for the School of Musketry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Folkestone and Hythe.1

     Elizabeth Jane Buchanan was born circa 1828 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Buchanan and Mary Ann Buchanan.2 She married Lt.-Col. George Blicke Champion de Crespigny, son of Charles James Fox Champion de Crespigny and Eliza Julia Trent, on 11 June 1851.1 She died on 30 April 1887 at 19 Bouverie Square, Folkestone, Kent, England.1
     From 11 June 1851, her married name became Champion de Crespigny.1
