     Rt. Rev. Frank Russell Barry was born on 28 January 1890 at Ellerslie, Maidstone Road, Rochester, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Reverend George Ducan Barry and Edith Geraldine Reid.1 He married Lilian Janet Gray, daughter of Buchanan Gray, on 10 December 1929.1 He died on 24 October 1976 at age 86.1
     He was educated in 1903 at Bradfield College, Bradfield, Reading, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Chaplain to the Forces in 1915.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was Professor of New Testament Interpretation between 1923 and 1928 at King's College London, London, England.1 He held the office of Bishop of Southwell in 1941.1
