Colonel Charles Stuart Wheler was born on 25 August 1851.1 He was the son of General Sir Francis Wheler, 10th Bt. and Elizabeth Bishop.2 He married Alice Lilian Ogilvie, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Spence Ogilvie, on 25 April 1876.1 He died on 10 December 1923 at age 72.1
He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.1 He fought in the Tirah Campaign between 1897 and 1898.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 6th Bengal Cavalry, Indian Army.1
