     Hon. Charles Joseph Langdale was born on 19 September 1787.2 He was the son of Charles Philip Stourton, 17th Baron Stourton and Hon. Mary Langdale.1,2 He married, firstly, Hon. Charlotte Mary Clifford, daughter of Charles Clifford, 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Hon. Eleanor Mary Arundell, on 27 January 1817.2 He married, secondly, Mary Constable-Maxwell, daughter of Marmaduke William Constable-Maxwell and Theresa Apollonia Wakeman, on 1 May 1821.1 He died on 1 December 1868 at age 81.1
     He was given the name of Charles Joseph Stourton at birth.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Yorkshire Hussars.2 On 24 December 1814 his name was legally changed to Charles Joseph Langdale by Royal Licence, under the terms of the will of his cousin, Philip Langdale.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Beverley between 1828 and 1834.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knaresborough between 1837 and 1841.2 He wrote the book Memoirs of Mrs Fitzherbert, published 1856.2

     Francis Stourton, 4th Baron Stourton was born circa 1486.1 He was the son of John Stourton, 3rd Baron Stourton and Catherine Berkeley.1 He died from 18 February 1486/87 to 27 February 1486/87, as an infant.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baron Stourton, of Stourton, co. Wilts [E., 1448] on 6 October 1485.1

     Hon. Charlotte Mary Clifford was born circa 1795. She was the daughter of Charles Clifford, 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Hon. Eleanor Mary Arundell.1 She married Hon. Charles Joseph Langdale, son of Charles Philip Stourton, 17th Baron Stourton and Hon. Mary Langdale, on 27 January 1817.1 She died on 31 March 1819.1
     Her married name became Langdale.

     Charles Clifford, 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh was born on 28 November 1759 at Jermyn Street, London, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Hugh Clifford, 4th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Lady Anne Lee.1 He married Hon. Eleanor Mary Arundell, daughter of Henry Arundell, 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour and Mary Christina Conquest, on 29 November 1786 at St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 29 April 1831 at age 71 at Ugbrooke Park, Chudleigh, Devon, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, co. Devon [E., 1672] on 15 January 1793.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) on 27 February 1794.2

She was the daughter of Henry Arundell, 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour and Mary Christina Conquest.1,2 She married Charles Clifford, 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, son of Hugh Clifford, 4th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Lady Anne Lee, on 29 November 1786 at St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.3 She died on 24 November 1835 at age 69 at Spetisbury Convent, Dorset, EnglandG.1 She was buried at Ugbrooke Park, Chudleigh, Devon, EnglandG.3
     Her married name became Clifford. After her marriage, Hon. Eleanor Mary Arundell was styled as Baroness Clifford of Chudleigh on 15 January 1793.

Henry Arundell, 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour

     Henry Arundell, 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour was born on 31 March 1740.1,3 He was the son of Henry Arundell, 7th Baron Arundell of Wardour and Mary Bellings-Arundell.1 He was baptised on 11 April 1740.1 He married Mary Christina Conquest, daughter of Benedict Conquest and Mary Ursula Markham, on 31 May 1763 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 4 December 1808 at age 68 at Wardour Castle, Wiltshire, EnglandG, without male issue.1 He was buried on 20 December 1808.1 His will was proven (by probate) in July 1809.1
     He was educated between 16 August 1753 and 1 May 1758 at St. Omer, FranceG.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour, co. Wiltshire [E., 1605] on 12 September 1756.1 In 1769 he inherited his mother's properties at Lanherne.1 In 1771 he began work in rebuilding the Castle at Wardour.1

     William Midleton was born on 25 December 1760.1 He was the son of William Constable and Lady Winifred Maxwell.1 He married Clara Louisa Grace, daughter of William Grace and Mary Harford, in February 1782.1 He died on 17 December 1847 at age 86.1
     He was given the name of William Constable at birth.1 His name was legally changed to William Midleton in inheriting the Stockeld Park estate under the terms of the will of his great-uncle, William Midleton.1 He lived at Stockeld Park, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1
