     John Barnewall, 3rd Baron Trimlestown was the son of Christopher Barnewall, 2nd Baron Trimlestown and Elizabeth Plunkett.² He married, firstly, Genet Bellew, daughter of John Bellew.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret FitzLeons, daughter of Patrick FitzLeons.¹ He died on 25 July 1538.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Trimlestown, of Trimlestown, co. Meath [I., 1461] in June 1513.¹ He was appointed Knight before January 1513/14.¹ He held the office of Second Judge of the King's Bench [Ireland] in January 1513/14.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 21 December 1521.¹ He held the office of Vice-Treasurer [Ireland] in 1522.¹ He held the office of High Treasurer [Ireland] between 1524 and 1530.¹ In 1532 he was granted 136 acres in Dunleer to hold as the Manor of Trim.¹ He held the office of Lord Chancellor [Ireland] in 1534.¹

     John Bellew lived at Bellewstown, Ireland.¹

     Genet Bellew is the daughter of John Bellew.² She married John Barnewall, 3rd Baron Trimlestown, son of Christopher Barnewall, 2nd Baron Trimlestown and Elizabeth Plunkett.¹
     Her married name became Barnewall.

     Patrick Barnewall, 4th Baron Trimlestown was the son of John Barnewall, 3rd Baron Trimlestown and Genet Bellew.² He married Catherine Taylor, daughter of Richard Taylor.¹ He died from 28 August 1561 to 6 March 1562/63.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baron Trimlestown, of Trimlestown, co. Meath [I., 1461] on 25 July 1538.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] before October 1539.¹

     Catherine Taylor is the daughter of Richard Taylor.¹ She married, secondly, Patrick Barnewall, 4th Baron Trimlestown, son of John Barnewall, 3rd Baron Trimlestown and Genet Bellew.¹ She married, firstly, Christopher Delahyde.¹
     Her married name became Delahyde.¹ Her married name became Barnewall. After her marriage, Catherine Taylor was styled as Baroness Trimlestown on 25 July 1538.

     Robert Barnewall, 5th Baron Trimlestown was the son of Patrick Barnewall, 4th Baron Trimlestown and Catherine Taylor.² He married Amy Fyan, daughter of Richard Fyan, in 1559.¹ He died on 27 October 1573, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baron Trimlestown, of Trimlestown, co. Meath [I., 1461] on 6 March 1562/63.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in March 1563/64.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1566.¹

     Richard Fyan held the office of Mayor of Dublin in 1564.¹

     Amy Fyan is the daughter of Richard Fyan.² She married Robert Barnewall, 5th Baron Trimlestown, son of Patrick Barnewall, 4th Baron Trimlestown and Catherine Taylor, in 1559.¹
     From 1559, her married name became Barnewall. After her marriage, Amy Fyan was styled as Baroness Trimlestown on 6 March 1563.
