     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Major in the 86th (East Anglian) (Hertforshire Yeomanry) Field Brigade, Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Delmira Marion Kroyer-Kielberg was the daughter of Sir Ferdinand Michael Kroyer-Kielberg. She married, firstly, Kenneth Geoffrey Swann, son of Geoffrey Swann and Florence Mildred Brodie, on 9 January 1942 at St. Margaret's, Westminster, London, England.^1,2 She married, secondly, Peter Richard Hampton, son of Robert W. Hampton, on 4 January 1947.² She died on 25 August 1947, from diphtheria.¹
     From 9 January 1942, her married name became Swann. From 4 January 1947, her married name became Hampton.²
